2024 Scholarship Awards

Each year the success of our flag program allows us to generously give back to our community, including awarding scholarships to deserving college-bound McKinney high school seniors. We're excited to award $66,000 to 21 students during this week's meeting. THANK YOU to our Flag Lease customers who support our fundraising efforts and make this possible.

Club Leadership Training Assembly

Seven McKinney Sunrise Rotarians attended District training on Saturday, 4/27/24 to prepare for the 2024-2025 Rotary year. Attendees Jeff Caserotti, Rebekah Jones, Nicholas Medina, Chris Rothe, Bill Smith, Leslie Vashler and Morris Whitis participated in sessions focused on Leadership, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Public Image and Flag Programs.

Welcome Neest Members

Krista Allen, Senior Analyst HR Talent, Toyota Motors North America, and Rebekah Jones, Business Operations, GitHub, were approved as McKinney Sunrise Rotarians during the Board meeting held on 4/16/24. Krista is a family friend of Bill Smith, and Rebekah is the daughter of Nancy Melendez, one of our newest members.
