Andrea Thompson left her law practice to accept the appointment to be the District Clerk of Collin County, Texas, and won re-election in 2014. In 2016 she was elected Judge of the 416th District Court in Collin County taking the bench January 1, 2017. Prior to her public service, Andrea was in private practice for 13 years as a family law attorney and has served and held leadership positions with numerous state and local boards and organizations. She is married to Kent and they are the proud parents of a rescue pug, Guinness.

The McKinney Sunset Rotary Club is a satellite of McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club. If you have a “heart for service”, join us at a future meeting. The Sunset club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Hampton Inn, 2008 N.
