Based on actual results, intelligence, and intuition from implementing the Flag Lease Program, 'The Ulitmate Non For Profit Fundraising Project' is a manual for non-profit professionals and volunteers who want to implement their fundraising project to promote their cause.
Built upon the success of the Flag Lease Project, this summing-up manual provides practical, comprehensive guidance for non-profit fundraising universally. With tips and tools, knowledgeable advice, and real-applied insights from the actual project implementation, this healthy resource addresses the entire spectrum of patriotic fundraising for non-profits.
This building was always called "The Prison." It wasn't called a jail. The prison keeper's family lived in the building with the inmates. His wife fixed meals for the inmates and washed their clothes.
Members of Bonnie and Clyde's gang were incarcerated in this prison and planned a prison break. They were moved to the state prison before they could escape.
The county sold the building in the 1990s. It was a restaurant for a while. In 2012 it is an office building.
The prison closed in 1979 due to an increase in the county’s population and prison reforms that demanded better conditions for prisoners. In 1983 the prison was listed as a contributing structure to the McKinney commercial Historic District as part of the National Register of Historic Places. The building is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.
