Our guest speaker for Wednesday, April 25, will be Burrel Poston, Development Director for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Burrel is a native Texan and a Dallasite. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington in 1987.
Professional Career
Started working at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1976.
I started as a print shop clerk. I was promoted to the Assistant Director of Purchasing in 1981 and the Director of Purchasing in 1982.
In 1990, I was promoted to Director of Material Management.
In 2002, I was promoted to Assistant Administrator.
In 2015, I was promoted to Development Officer.
Personal Life
Burrel was married in 1975 to Darlene Poston. They have two sons; one married who graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with an MBA in Accounting and one married who graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Burrel and Darlene have one grandson named Hayden Poston who is the apple of their eyes.
