The McKinney Education Foundation mission is “To Inspire And Assist McKinney ISD Students And Staff Toward Excellence And Make A Difference In A Child’s Life Through Education,” and Sheila Marlow Due has dedicated her career to similar missions. As the current Chief Executive Officer, Sheila prioritizes trust-building among internal and external stakeholders while fostering a shared sense of purpose. Sheila will join us to share more about her vision for the Foundation and the partnership we share.

Public Image Director Needed
for 2024-2025 Term
Interested in getting more involved with our club? We are in need of a member to serve as Public Image Director for the 2024-2025 Rotary year. This position is responsible for updating our club website, managing the club's social media, promoting our projects and events, and ensuring we are using our club and Rotary logos properly and consistently. Rotary District 5810 has a wealth of resources available to assist this position so no prior experience is needed, just a desire to help promote our club. Rule of 85
The "Rule of 85" is the commonly used term for a specific type of excused absence as specified in Article 9, Section 3(b) of the standard club constitution. This has been updated in the 2016 Council on Legislation.
A member's absence can be excused if the member has at least 20 years of Rotary service and their age plus years of service is equal to, or greater than, 85. The member must notify the club secretary in writing of their desire to be excused from attendance, and then receive board approval.
Several of our club members are eligible for this exemption - check that your birthdates and Rotary joining dates are correct and notify Leslie Vashler if you would like to receive this exemption.
