Dr. H. Neil Matkin became Collin College’s third District President on April 6, 2015. He previously served as Executive Vice President of the Louisiana Community & Technical College System where he was Chair of the Board of Regents Articulation and Transfer Committee. Dr. Matkin was President of the Central Campus of San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas; Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer for the Virginia Community College System; and Chief Administrative Officer for Illinois Century Network Interagency Governance Board.
Dr. Matkin currently serves on the Collin County Business Alliance Board and the Congressional Veteran’s Commendation Selection Board. He holds Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration degrees. Dr. Matkin earned his Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The McKinney Sunset Rotary Club is a satellite of McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club. If you have a “heart for service”, join us at a future meeting. The Sunset club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Hampton Inn, 2008 N. Central Expressway, at 5:30 PM for a program, and third Thursdays for a Happy Hour at 5:30 PM at a local pub or restaurant. Stephen Barotta is the presiding Chair. The program for the May 7 meeting will NOT be at the Hampton Inn. The meeting May 7, 2020 will be virtual with the Zoom app at 5:30 PM with the executive directors of five nonprofit organizations as guest speakers. The club will also hold a virtual Happy Hour on Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 PM.
