Our club's meeting program this week will feature Jim Deuser via Zoom.
Vocational Service --
As business leaders, Rotarians share their skills and expertise through Vocational Service. Your Vocational Service efforts can play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those hardworking members of the community who need direction and expertise. By participating in any of a number of Vocational Service activities - mentoring, career days, vocational awards, business assistance, or even talking about your job at a club meeting - you can turn your experience into an invaluable resource for others.
Youth Service Month is a special time in Rotary. Throughout the month of May, members of Rotary clubs, Rotaract, Interact, and those involved in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and Rotary Youth Exchange celebrate the opportunities Rotary provides to connect, grow through service, develop leadership skills, mentor or be mentored, and have fun.
Based on actual results, intelligence, and intuition from implementing the Flag Lease Program, 'The Ulitmate Non For Profit Fundraising Project' is a manual for non-profit professionals and volunteers who want to implement their fundraising project to promote their cause.
Built upon the success of the Flag Lease Project, this summing-up manual provides practical, comprehensive guidance for non-profit fundraising universally. With tips and tools, knowledgeable advice, and real-applied insights from the actual project implementation, this healthy resource addresses the entire spectrum of patriotic fundraising for non-profits.
The Four-Way Test is an adaptive process. It takes into account everyone's point of view and concerns, as well as their needs and wants.
The process is designed to build goodwill and earn trust so a particular end result is mutually beneficial, sustainable, and has scalable outcomes.
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
There is no such thing as a grouchy old person. The truth is that once you get old, you stop being polite and start being honest!
Bobbi Wright says...our program Wednesday will be Jim Deuser
Jim Deuser of the Georgetown Rotary’s Racial Unity & Peacebuilding Committee. The committee first convened in June 2020 following an escalation of racial tensions in the U.S. and has been meeting weekly for almost three years now. It has expanded to include committee members in other parts of the world. They promote the belief that: when people work to create peace in their communities, the change can have a global effect.
Service Above Self!
Come to the meeting and visit with Bobbi and Jim and bring a guest.
