Throughout my studies of the Word of God, I read of the raging rivers, wilderness, and struggles that the children of God went through before reaching the promise land.  I sometimes wondered why the path was through the rushing waters and not around them, but I know that personally, it was the struggles that made me stronger and made the prize worth so much more.
