October Rotary Theme
 is Community Economic Devlopment.

Nearly 800 million people live on less than $1.90 a day. Rotary members are passionate about providing sustainable solutions to poverty.

The Rotary Four Way Test challenges us to take a close hard look at the realities in our own communities. In particular we must ask the question “Is it Fair to All Concerned.” As a Club, through our service projects and giving, we have dedicated ourselves to improving the conditions and fairness for all concerned. Whether these efforts involve providing opportunities for underprivilaged  children, or building flags, or partnering on sanitation and drinking water projects in communities in need throughout the world, they all serve to provide for economic and community development. Thank you for being a member of our Sunrise Rotary Club and thank you for being concerned about and dedicated to improving the economic conditions for people in our community and throughout the world.

Carving The Pumpkin
by
Weldon Copeland

Carving the Pumpkin

We like to pick a large pumpkin for easy carving, but also pick some small pumpkins for decorating your outside door or bringing inside the home as accents!

For those smaller pumpkins, look for some character - bumps, warts, and funny shapes!
McKinney North High School

Meet Gina as her presentation will focus on the importance of providing career education opportunities for high school students who may not have the opportunity to enroll in a college or university.  Gina will provide details about the Communities in School program and its goals for students attending McKinney North High School.

WELCOME, Gina Fuller!

In addition, Larry Offerdahl, Strategic Planning Committee Chairperson, will give us an update on the progress of the Club's strategic plan.
