Youth Service Month is a special time in Rotary. Throughout the month of May, members of Rotary clubs, Rotaract, Interact, and those involved in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and Rotary Youth Exchange celebrate the opportunities Rotary provides to connect, grow through service, develop leadership skills, mentor or be mentored, and have fun.
Based on actual results, intelligence, and intuition from implementing the Flag Lease Program, 'The Ulitmate Non For Profit Fundraising Project' is a manual for non-profit professionals and volunteers who want to implement their fundraising project to promote their cause.
Built upon the success of the Flag Lease Project, this summing-up manual provides practical, comprehensive guidance for non-profit fundraising universally. With tips and tools, knowledgeable advice, and real-applied insights from the actual project implementation, this healthy resource addresses the entire spectrum of patriotic fundraising for non-profits.
These principles have been developed over the years to provide Rotarians with a strong, common purpose and direction. They serve as a foundation for our relationships with each other and the action we take in the world.
Object of Rotary
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
Larry Offerdahl says...our program Wednesday will be about Chestnut Square in downtown McKinney.
Our program will be presented by Jamie Pedigo who is the Executive Director for Heritage Village at Chestnut Square. Jamie has been the Executive Director for over 9 years and directs preservation, education, and event activities for Chestnut Square.
We are meeting in the Bevel House which is located at 405 S. Chestnut Street. The Bevel House is located between and behind the Johnson House and the
Chestnut Square Chapel.
1920 Bevel House
An Arts and Crafts bungalow, the house features wide porches and typical architectural detailing. The Bevel family lived in the house until 1975, then a 2007 fire rendered the home uninhabitable by the owners at the time. It was then purchased by the Guild, and completely preserved and renovated for use as a reception and event space.
Service Above Self!
Come to the meeting and visit with Jamie and bring a guest.
