At the suggestion of the Regional office, we are not going to meet for the next 2 weeks due to the current concerns over the virus outbreak. Please be careful out there and stay safe. The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday March 30, 2020 at 6:00pm. It will be held via conference call, check your email for instructions.
Michael Parrish, and Kristy Card have both submitted applications to the board for membership, if anyone has any comments concerning the application please direct them to Bill or any member of the board.
We are also looking for suggestions for speakers for 2020, please let Bobbi, Staci, or Scott know if you have some ideas.
The McKinney Sunset Rotary Club is a satellite of McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club. If you have a “heart for service”, join us at a future meeting. The Sunset club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Hampton Inn, 2008 N. Central Expressway, at 5:30 PM for a program, and third Thursdays for a Happy Hour at 5:30 PM at a local pub or restaurant. Stephen Barotta is the presiding Chair. For any of you that has vehicle registration, titling, or need to renew your disability placards, rest easy Governor Abbott has extended the deadline. So stay home and continue to take the suggested precautions. (Don't forget you can still renew online, just see my earlier post for information.)
The program for the May 7 meeting at the Hampton Inn will include five non-profit organizations to briefly tell about their activities in the community.
