A timely article on Attendance by Chuck Koehler
Attending our Club meetings is a very important function to take on as a member in good standing of The Rotary Club of McKinney Sunrise. The guest speakers are informational, builds comrade within the club, and friendships are formed for a lifetime. Even during the ‘social hour’ from 7 to 7:30 AM , getting better acquainted with follow members is a key part of attendance.

It is your responsibly as a member in ‘good standing’ to make every effort to attend your club meetings. We miss you if you’re not in attendance! However, there are times when conflicts arise that doesn’t allow you to be at the weekly meeting. If this occurs, it is very easy to make-up a meeting as follows:
1) our Sunset Rotary Club meets on the first Thursday of the month at the McKinney Hampton Inn starting at 5:30 through 6:30 PM;
2) Sunset’s ‘Happy Hour’ every third Thursday of the month at a local pub or restaurant starting at 5:30 PM – check with Lyle or Sandi for the location as it changes very month;
3) go to an eClub on the internet at: https://www.rotaryeclubone.org/ to make-up and
4) visit one of the near-by clubs i.e., McKinney Rotary Club (downtown) that meets every Friday at noon. See how easy it is to do a make-up?

Our club’s attendance YTD is 49.11%. Even though attendance is not mandatory anymore, it is your responsibility to attend for the reasons stated above. Do it!
