Reverend Jeff Lust, Senior Pastor Stonebridge United Methodist Church

Reverend Lust will be speaking on the topic of Ethics which is also a core value of Rotary International.  In a global society with many cultures, religions, languages and differences, the community needs to adhere to a code of Ethics in order to be fair and truthful in our business, social, civic, religious and family relationships.

Rev. Lust is a native Texan, who was born and raised in Littlefield, near Lubbock.  After earning an undergraduate degree at McMurry University, he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1988 and a Master of Theology degree in 1989, both from Duke University Divinity School. He served many years as the Senior Pastor at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was appointed by the Bishop of the United Methodist Church in New Mexico to serve as the Albuquerque District Superintendent, followed by being named Provost (Deputy to the Bishop) of the New Mexico Annual Conference.    Before his move to McKinney he was University Chaplain and Director of Religious Life at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.  One of the  well-attended courses he taught as Chaplain was Ethics.   He has been the Senior Pastor at Stonebridge United Methodist Church for the past one and one-half years.

His wife, Mary, works in data management and software management.  Between Jeff and Mary, they share five children and 3 grandkids from Albuquerque to Los Angeles.  McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club has had a partnership with Stonebridge United Methodist Church and the Living Water non-profit organization to fund and build a water well in an underserved community in Guatemala for the past several years.  We welcome Rev. Lust and will be interested in what he has to say about Ethics, including partnerships with faith-based organizations, civic clubs, the business community and government to improve services for those in need.
