Scott Sanford represents House District 70 in Austin since 2012.
His district includes McKinney, Melissa, Prosper, Celina, Princeton, and Anna.

Scott has served Cottonwood Creek Church since 1997, and he is currently the Executive Pastor.
Scott married Shelly Parks in 1987 and they have lived in McKinney Texas for over 20 years. Their son Ryan and his wife Jaclyn, and their daughter Lauren and her husband Andrew are all Baylor graduates.
In Austin, Scott has served on multiple committees including the Ways and Means Committee, House Administration Committee, Public Education Committee Health & Human Services Committee, Urban Affairs Committee, Land & Resource Management Committee, Juvenile Justice & Family Issues Committee, Insurance Committee and Corrections Committee.
