Change of Meeting Place: Going forward, McKinney Sunset Rotary Club will hold the First Thursday Sunset Rotary Club meetings, 5:30 – 6:30 PM in the Conference Room at the Yeager Building, 6401 Eldorado Parkway, (Ridge Road and Eldorado Parkway) south of the CVS Pharmacy.
Incoming Chair: Beginning July 1, Benita Sharpe will be the incoming Chair of McKinney Sunset Rotary Club. Benita has an impressive resume’ as an employee of State Farm Insurance and as a small business owner. She attended the President-elect Training (PETS) in March and will focus on Leadership Development, Service, and Membership Recruitment. We want to thank Outgoing Chair Stephen Barotta for his leadership over the past year.
Incoming Chair-elect: Lenda Fidelman is the incoming Chair-elect for McKinney Sunset Rotary Club. In recognition of recruitment of new members of the Sunset Rotary Club this past year, she will be presented with a coveted Paul Harris Fellowship Award at the Joint Sunrise Sunset Rotary Club’s Investiture.
Happy Hour Meetings: The Third Thursday Happy Hour meetings will be announced when we have a schedule of places. The next Happy Hour will be Thursday, July 16 at 5:30 PM.
Thursday, July 16, 5:30 PM – Attend the next Happy Hour to honor our Rotarian of the Year and a presentation of a Paul Harris Fellowship Award. We are planning to hold the Happy Hour at Foxii’s Patio, 301 E. Virginia, #103, in downtown McKinney. (That is, if the restaurant and bar are not affected by the current closings. For those who cannot attend, the meeting will be streamed on Zoom.) Please observe social distancing and a prize will be given for the most creative face mask! Bring a guest! Spouses and family members are also welcome.
Thursday, August 6, 5:30 PM - Benita Sharpe, incoming Chair of the McKinney Sunset Rotary Club, a satellite of McKinney Sunrise Rotary Club, invites you to attend the installation of incoming officers for 2020-21. The meeting and installation will be at the Yeager Office Suites, 6401 Eldorado Parkway, McKinney, TX 75072. The Yeager building is located directly south of the CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Eldorado Parkway and Ridge Road.
