2026 awards for McKinney Sunrise Rotary
What an incredible year for McKinney Sunrise Rotary!
We are proud to celebrate several outstanding achievements and recognitions that reflect the dedication and service of our members. Nicholas Medina received the McKinney Sunrise STAR Award for his exceptional leadership in managing our $200,000+ budget, helping establish our $100,000 endowment and sponsorship of the McKinney Sunrise Rotary Student Center at Collin College, and leading our flag program while actively serving the club and pursuing his doctorate.
Larry Offerdahl was honored with the District 5810 Service to New Generations Award for his tireless commitment to developing young leaders through Interact, Rotaract, RYLA, and our scholarship program, impacting dozens of students across McKinney.
In addition, our entire club was recognized as Rotary Club of the Year (Small Club) for our outstanding service, scholarship support, youth leadership development, community partnerships, fundraising efforts, and commitment to Rotary’s mission. To top it all off, McKinney Sunrise Rotary received the prestigious Club Excellence Award, Rotary International’s highest club honor, recognizing excellence in membership, service, and achievement of strategic goals. Thank you to every Rotarian whose dedication, generosity, and commitment to Service Above Self made these accomplishments possible. Together, we are making a lasting impact in our community and beyond!
