International Service --
Rotary volunteers work to expand the Rotarians’ humanitarian work around the world. This important service promotes understanding and peace, sponsors projects in other countries, and works with international partners to support projects in their communities.
Youth Service Month is a special time in Rotary. Throughout the month of May, members of Rotary clubs, Rotaract, Interact, and those involved in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and Rotary Youth Exchange celebrate the opportunities Rotary provides to connect, grow through service, develop leadership skills, mentor or be mentored, and have fun.
Based on actual results, intelligence, and intuition from implementing the Flag Lease Program, 'The Ulitmate Non For Profit Fundraising Project' is a manual for non-profit professionals and volunteers who want to implement their fundraising project to promote their cause.
Built upon the success of the Flag Lease Project, this summing-up manual provides practical, comprehensive guidance for non-profit fundraising universally. With tips and tools, knowledgeable advice, and real-applied insights from the actual project implementation, this healthy resource addresses the entire spectrum of patriotic fundraising for non-profits.
In 1932, Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor created The Four-Way Test. The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings: The test, asks the following questions: Of the things we think, say, or do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.
Joe Jaynes says...our program Wednesday will be about the 1968 Presidential Election.
The 1968 United States presidential election was the 46th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 5, 1968. The Republican nominee, former vice president Richard Nixon, defeated both the Democratic nominee, incumbent vice president Hubert Humphrey, and the American Independent Party nominee, former Alabama Governor George Wallace. Incumbent president Lyndon B. Johnson decided not to run.
Service Above Self!
