Wanda Harris Johnson was born & raised in Gary, Indiana at the same time Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 were getting their start on the other side of town. She graduated from Purdue University in 1980 with a degree in Business Management. After graduation from college, she started a sales career for Eastman Kodak, Dow Chemical and Motorola. In 1989, she met & married Wade Johnson and moved to McKinney, Texas where they opened an Allstate Insurance Agency.
Shortly after marriage, Wanda had her 1st set of twins, Jarred and Jacoby and 2 years later had her 2nd set of twins, Jasmine & Jaelyn. She became a stay at home mom for a few years, then became a substitute teacher in McKinney ISD for 6 years.
Unfortunately after 19yrs, the marriage ended in divorce and she became a single mother with 4 kids to put through college.
She was blessed to start working at Scott Johnson Middle School in 2011 as the community liaison, helping under resourced and homeless students.
And this is where she realized her passion for helping others became her purpose in life.
